Prof. Elad Anter
Prof. Elad Anter is a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiology expert.
Since 2023 he is the director of the Arrhythmia Institute at Shamir Medical Center, following a long and successful career in the United States, where he was director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Section at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and endowed chair of cardiovascular medicine and associate section head of cardiac electrophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic.
Prof. Anter graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed his residency in internal medicine at BWH Boston and in cardiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on the analysis of complex arrhythmia using mathematical models.
With over 100 publications in leading international medical journals, Prof. Anter is a popular international speaker, teaching and training doctors in Israel and abroad. He contributed to the writing of arrhythmia treatment guidelines for the American Heart Association, in collaboration with the Heart Rhythm Society.
