Fertility Preservation

Fertility preservation allows women and couples who face various health problems to freeze their eggs and thus increase the chances of conceiving in the future.

Egg Retrieval

Here are some answers to questions that may arise following the egg retrieval procedure.

IVM – In Vitro Maturation

In Vitro Maturation (IVM) is a method suitable for some fertility patients. A dedicated team in our IVF unit has performed the IVM technique multiple times with an impressive success rate.

Egg Donation

Patients who are unable to self-produce eggs or have a deficiency in their eggs that prevents fertilization can use donor eggs. The medical staff at the IVF unit in the Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) have extensive experience in treating patients who conceive via egg donation. So far, many couples and single patients have been able to fulfil their dream of parenting this way.

IUI

Artificial insemination is an effective treatment for couples who are able to produce viable sperm and eggs but are unable to conceive naturally through sex for other reasons.

Genetic Diagnosis - PGD

Our unit offers a Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD). It is provided for couples who are carriers of genetic diseases. It is carried out in embryos before the pregnancy begins and thus greatly increases the chances of pregnancy and delivery of a healthy child.
